HELP!
Does anyone else out there have problems retaining the quality of their pictures when they upload them to blogger? The darks become WAY too dark and conversely lights are BLOWN OUT. Even the colors get slightly skewed. I'm not sure how to remedy this...maybe different file types? Anyone out there have ideas?

Stuff and stuff...
Just some doodles. Thanks to Brenoch Adams for pointing out Paul Lasaine's pencil trickery for photoshop...(and thanks as well to Mr. Lasaine for posting such knowledge.)

AX MAN
Here's a fancier version...
I was watching an interesting show on the history channel called "Ax Men" about people working in the logging industry in the pacific northwest. Interesting stuff. Those guys certainly work hard for their money. I sketched this out afterwards. It's still kinda in the WIP phase - hopefully I'll finish it up over the next couple days...

CINTIQ !
Well, I finally bit the bullet and got a Cintiq. It make take a little bit of time to get used to but, WOW. Let me say that again - WOW. Just an overwhelming amount of lushness. Here is the first sketch I did on it. It's a quick memory doodle of a co-worker. Many more to come...

Undercover badass...
So this is a memory sketch of this dude I saw while doodling at the mall. There was this juxtaposition about him that I found very interesting. On the exterior he seemed like any other random walking through the place. Trendy button down shirt, untucked with sleeves rolled up. Slim fit jeans and some converse. Unkempt yet perfectly placed hair. Two day old beard and tinted glasses for that extra touch of panache. Then you glance downward and notice the leather, overly aggressive, gladiator-style bracelets he's wearing. And right above those, the gnarly tattoos covering the well developed forearms. Then there's the walk. Fluid, athletic, deliberate. After observing his movements for a few moments it seemed clear there was more to him than my first impression. Sure, he looked passive and harmless, yet I had the sense he would kick all kinds of ass if the need arose. I'm pretty sure he was an undercover assassin scoping out his next target.....at Starbucks....in the mall. Yep. That's it.

100% Pure Adrenaline
I decided to go skydiving as a birthday present to myself. Here are some of the pictures from the day.
This is my instructor Mike and myself before we decide to jump out of a perfectly good airplane...
Exiting the aircraft. I think in this picture you can see that at this moment I am realizing that the ground is 15,000 feet beneath me and I'm thinking, "HOLY SHIT!!!"
Hurtling towards earth at 120 mph as my lips are peeling back over my head...
Flying above the clouds...
I don't think I stopped screaming the whole time...one hell of a ride!!
I would encourage anyone who's never done this sort of thing to get out and try it. I'm hooked and will definitely do it again!
